Africa Pavilion

This is the largest pavilion in the Zone C, that houses 43 independent "pavilions" which I would consider more like 'exhibition booths".

Felt the "African" culture and environment immediately when stepped in... it's the lighting... the settings... huge rocks, huts, trees... and along the way, lots of "animals" too... haha... notice the "arty" stuff showcased are also pretty similar - lots of stuff carved out of wood or rocks.

Notice the difference in these 2 masks? Both pictures were actually featuring the same mask - one taken with flash and one without. But, surprising, the flash creates an effect on the 'emotion' portrayed by the mask (see the eyes and the mouth).

Tall tall giraffe! Oh! That reminds us of safari!

The "Marketplace" that resembles the bazzar in Africa... a few countries under one roof.
Just wondering if the things at the stalls are representative of each country... definitely, there are some commonality amongst the stuff they sell... in particular, accessories... Just wondering if it's portraying what we will see if we happen to be with some of these 'tribes'?

Here's the only "camel" being showcased. I was a bit surprise. Isn't it something that's more significant for a country with deserts?

Surprise that a gorilla is "showcased" here... is it populated with black gorillas? Hm... I wonder... On the other hand, I think that's canvas art... something unique :) Well, now, when people mention Rwanda, it's no longer just droughts and starvation... there's slightly more...

This is totally unknown to me... however, notice what's "showcased"? LIVING FOSSIL!
That must be something the country is very proud of...
